PLEASE READ the parade entry instructions below before submitting entry form.
Dear Parade Entrants,
This year’s parade will be August 17th at 10:00am.
Lineup will begin at 8:00 am and end at 9:45 am.
There is a $25.00 charge payable with entry form for businesses and political entries. There is no charge for individuals or nonprofit organizations.
Please make sure we receive your entry form and payment (if applicable) no later than August 10th, 2019. Be sure to read the instructions below in its entirety prior to the event.
The lineup will be completed on Saturday August 11th and entrants will be contacted accordingly. Please do not call for your lineup number prior to the 11th. If you have not heard from us by the 15th, you may call or email for your number.
Please feel free to enclose a brief announcement that you would like the announcer to give during the parade as you pass the main stage (downtown).
There is only one entrance to the parade line-up this year: Westbrook and W. Main (across from the fire station). Manchester will NOT be open for entrance the morning of the line-up, this is an exit only. It is very important that all entries be in place by 9:30 am at the latest!
There will be absolutely NO vehicles in the staging area that are not registered as a parade unit. Please be sure to notify everyone in your group that they are not allowed to drive in through either entrance during the lineup process. If entrants do not respect this rule, they will be asked to leave immediately and will not be allowed to reenter or receive a refund. Not only does this cause congestion, it also creates a dangerous environment for everyone involved. Golf carts will be available to those who have trouble walking or need assistance with getting into position. Your help on this is greatly appreciated. Parking is available on Wilson St. (Scott School) and at the fire station.
Upon arrival, you must check-in with parade officials, then move your unit and assemble at the corresponding number marked along the street curbs.
For safety purposes we again request that NO candy or other items be thrown from the parade units! Walkers behind your unit may hand out items and candy but it must be hand delivered.
